About Us
Cristina Imbrò and Stefano Staro have been collaborating since 1986, the year they founded the design company Archimedia, with which they created the exhibition setups for the Brescia antique markets in 1987, 1988, 1999, as well as for the Funny Film Festival and the Com & Com Festival in Darfo Boario Terme, and developed prototype projects for Grazioli di Canneto sull'Oglio, Piscine Castiglione, and EDT of Reggio Emilia (entertainment structures).
Since 1991, they have been collaborating in the Imbrò e Staro associati architecture studio in Brescia.
They have participated in numerous design and architectural and urban planning competitions, winning the award for the most original attractions in the theme park competition (Padua, 1989) and the special mention for public art work (Pergine Valsugana 2013).
They continuously carry out design and construction supervision activities in the civil sector (renovations) and provide technical-legal and valuation consulting services.
For the Municipality of Brescia, they coordinated the participatory design for:
- The creation of the Environmental Island of Villaggio Violino (project "Accordiamo il Violino" - 2004)
- The redevelopment of Campo Marte and the Polveriera area in Mompiano (project "Da Marte e Martina" - 2008)
- The definition of the perimeter and the paths of the Parco delle Cave in Brescia and for the redevelopment of an area ("Segni sull'acqua" - 2014)
Other projects include participatory design for the enhancement of the streets of the historic center of Predore (2012) and the renewal of internal road system for the Municipality of Lumezzane (2017).
They developed prototype projects for educational installations in the ecological museum park of Botticino and defined environmental educational itineraries for the Municipality of Pisogne. They carry out continuous architectural design activities in the field of building renovation.
They are authors of publications and have participated as speakers at conferences and seminars in the urban planning field, on participatory design and the environment.

Professional Activity
She has held numerous positions as Court-Appointed Technical Consultant for the Court of Brescia and property valuations for credit institutions and CRIF. She has been invited to present her work at various national and international conferences and seminars.
She promotes and participates in the Agenda 21 - Sustainable City Commission of the Order of Architects of Brescia as the Order's delegate to Agenda 21 of Brescia.
As an artist, she has participated in the white night of culture and art in Brescia (2009, 2010), exhibitions with installations for the Museo di Salò (2013) and collective exhibitions at the AAB of Brescia (2011).
She currently practices as an architect in Brescia and teaches Art and Image in lower secondary school.

Stefano Staro

Professional and Teaching Activity
Tenured teacher in schools, he taught music in schools of San Polo Brescia since 1992 and Drawing and Art History at the Liceo Scientifico Statale Copernico in Brescia.
He promoted, among the first since 1996, safety planning and emergency procedures in schools. He deals with civil protection as an expert and volunteer in the seismic events of Salò.
He promoted innovative workshop projects such as the "Laboratorio delle musiche", a pilot project for the Ministry of Education in 1996. He deals with sustainable mobility as a Mobility Manager and organizes conferences on music and inclusion.
He has been supervisor and coordinator of the qualifying courses of the Conservatorio di Musica di Brescia and has published several essays on Music and Architecture.
As a composer, his works have been performed by Mosaico Musicale di Brescia and by Brescia Sinfonietta. The text of his musical-theatrical work "L'ultima settimana di navigazione" is published by Prospero Editore.
